Ok so I just watched McCain, the self proclaimed expert on foreign policy say that there were problems on the Iraqi Pakistani border...... seems he forgot about an entire county called Iran between them. It just seems silly that a man who claims to know so much about what is going on in that part of the world would be so unfamiliar with it's geography. Isn't the geography of a region key to military success? Why would someone running for President say there are problems with an area that does not exist? How can an "informed individual" keep just "making small errors"? Makes it hard for me to consider voting for him in the fall when he keeps "misspeaking" on such important issues. Any thoughts???

Well...I don't know the exact percentage but a significant % of US College graduate can't locate the US on a World Map...
And speaking of maps...This Classic ROFL!

That was one of the funniest things I have EVER seen.
Did you watch the 911 call after it.

To the OP it is a bummer but one has to remember that campaigning is grueling and a mistake here and there should be forgiven. Now if he really doesnt know then I agree he is not the guy.
And I prefer Miss West Carolina LMAO :-P

I agree, these candidates have to speak so much that they are bound to say the wrong thing at some point. I would find it hard to believe that John McCain, or Barack Obama for that matter, wouldn't know where these countries lie on the map. These guys are being prepped on foreign affairs on a daily basis. Throw in the fact that McCain has traveled to that part of the world on multiple occasions I just think it's a simple slip up. |

He almost assuredly meant the Afghanistan/Pakistan border -- the other place we are fighting an active war. |

I know it was probably a slip up, but it is one of many against McCain. There seems to be a new one every week.

When you're under the pressure of running for the office of President of the Canadian/Mexican border, mistakes are bound to happen. |

Are you quoting our current president? He might think Canada and Mexico share a border.
