Can't post the image as I may use it in an upcoming submission. I have a small corner of the image that is required for the shot so can't crop it. I was shooting through trees and there is a green cast from some leaves on part of the image, its not solid but is obvious. The colour the cast is on is predominately brown - I tried the only skills I know - any tips from the experts please?

wannabe here--- ;)

Can you select the area, feather your selection and then use a hue/sat adjustment layer to change the hue from green to brown?

Or is the green cast throughout the entire image?

Thanks but no need for that! :) I'll be happy with the 100/2.8 in a nice cardboard box. Good luck!

If you select just an area of the image, would that not violate basic editing rules? I thought whatever you did had to be applied to the entire image.

Don't forget that you could always play with the mask on the adjustment layer later, too.

this would indeed be illegal under current basic rules. The OP was asking about advanced ruleset though.
