I had two frames made (one metal, one wood) and was thrilled with their quality, service and especially price. There is some assembly required (it isn't like a frame shop where you just pick up the finished, mounted photo, ready to hang) but it certainly wasn't difficult.

I plan on doing enough future business with them that I ordered their "mat sample kit" so I could evaluate actual mat samples at my leisure (instead of just the on-screen representations). They will also send you 5 free frame corners every time you order so you can slowly build a collection of those as well.

Thanks to achiral for the link, and others for their comments. It's exactly what I need. I just had some big prints framed here in town. Archival glass, archival matting, 20x30 photo to be framed = $250. I almost fainted.

$250!?! Glad I am doing this all myself now. a 20x30 would cost less than $30 in material to do myself. Whew! didn't think I was saving that much
