...about this wedding. It was my first full traditional church wedding and I finally have all the photos online for the bride and groom to view. I thought I'd post the link here if anyone wants to see the whole gallery beyond what I've already posted here. It's almost 400 photos.

It really was a big deal for me, and I hope I've met their expectations. They did say they like b/w so you will see several offered as both color and b/w. As always, comments welcome here or in the gallery

Awesome, and I am so pleased you enjoyed it, as you did really well, and should be very proud indeed.....

The lighting looked tough to shoot in ...with the candlit background. Great job!
I don't know how to do it...but I am sure that more detail in the brides dress would have made these photos just explode off the page.

I am still in awe...don't think I could touch these in my current state of photogrpahy knowledge. Good job...still lookin at the rest.

my favs...are the candids of getting ready...so far. :)

Yep...I sure did :) I think it still looks natural, just not so distracting.

I like the one with the bride on the steps...and the groom in the foreground..not very often that the groom gets his time in the 'spotlight'...most people just assume that this is the BRIDES day. Great shot..and just a thanks from us men in general. The second one is the best of these two CLARITY wise..too bad that damn branch is in the way. LOL...

I had the Canon 17-55 2.8 IS and a rented 70-200 2.8 IS as my two main lenses. I also had rented a 10-22 for some fun outside stuff, but time and weather prevented that from happening. I think I shot a few at the reception with it. The bridal "portraits" were natural light up in the balcony of the church just before the ceremony, as it was the only opportunity we had and unfortunately the groom was not with us. I did have a reflector there to help with that (with my second shooter holding it.)

I had a 550EX on camera flash with an omnibounce on it and mostly shot with the flash bounced.

Awesome job!!!! Very well done and a great variety too. I am a BIG fan of your candids they are exceptional (#9 being a fav and all the girls getting ready) I tend to shoot this way too. Your second shooter did an excellent job too it̢۪s a great added perspective to the ceremony.

The only real issues I noticed are on the first two photos # 123 and 124. The bride has a funny highlight going on her left cheek and over the eye! This is an exceptional photo from the bunch and could use the added attention. Also in the B&W it looks like you edited out a distracting blue and white detail that you left in the colour version upper right corner. I would defiantly take care of that!

Pic #71 is awesome. I would offer a crop version with the eyes leveled and little tighter crop (about 25-30% cropped out also offer B&W for this one too)

Photos #154 and 155 of the bride coming down the aisle. Both are great and these are so hard to get because you only have the one chance. I would do a little PS to clean up the background a bit. Items to fix. Exit sign (especially when it̢۪s right over the brides head), the light in the top middle of the door (easy fix just copy and past some bricks from beside) and if your up for the challenge get rid of the woman peeking down the aisle in the doorway to the right in the one photo.

I looked at all your posted pics and really like your candid style. They are a very pleasing bunch of photos. You should be very proud of yourself, you did a fine job.
Scott.

Hey Scott,

Thank you very much for the detailed critique. I really appreciate you taking the time to make the comments.

I missed that exit sign!! I HATE exit signs and clones out a bunch of them in the reception shots. I will have to take care of that. I will check out all the other things you mentioned. Again...thanks very much!

Judy

Oh...I left the blue and white in the color version of the first shot because it is a church window and I thought it added to the color version, but not to the b/w.
