Hello to all my favorite DPCers!
One of my best friends is getting married next year in the Chicago area and is starting to look at photographers for the big day. So I thought I'd jump on here and see if anyone wanted an easy plug! If you shoot weddings and might be looking for one more client in May of '09, give me a link to your site and I'll pass the info on to the bride :-)
There's so much talent here that I know she can find the BEST choice by starting with DPC!!! |

Reasons I don't do it:
#1 I don't *quite* have the equipment I'd really want to do a good job
#2 I'm a bridesmaid :-)
#3 No prior wedding experience+a best friend=WAY too much pressure for my "first time"
Though considering I will have become a Mom for the first time just a few short months before, I'd probably rather be a photog! Then I wouldn't have to worry about fitting into a fancy dress!! :-)

Why not put me and  drewbixcube on the case? I'm sure a road trip for a fellow DPC member would be good for us. :D

Issue smishue. You can have her look at my profile stuff. I will end up doing 6 more weddings this summer/fall (not in it for the money so much...more just the photography and fun of it). I need to upload my newer stuff.
Congratulations on the "mom" thing, must have missed the announcement!...who's doing your maternity sittings?
I've been gone from the site for a few weeks. Just started a new job, with WAY more responibilities and less time to surf the net!
Seriously though we have been talking about a trip to Chi-town and I know Matt packs a lot of great gear...I still rent mine when I need it, but should have at least one new lens by Christmas. I am sure Matt and I could work out a pretty good deal for her (even though some "pros" will cry about that here).
