Maybe it's because it's a spirit lamp.

...who, or what, is in the reflection? I was dressed in dark colours and well down and to the left, so I wouldn't be reflected. The only other *living* person on the property was the owner, who was nowhere near the set. There wasn't any laundry outside or lawn chairs etc.

Question: Was there a pond directly behind you? That's what I see, with reflections of clouds, trees and bushes in it. Admitedly it does kind of look like a person as you've described, but I'd put my money on a pond.

Truth is, the spot of the death on the physical earth shouldn't have any relevance to a ghost. Think of the ghosts there would be at a hospital. Truth is we like to think there is an afterlife, and we like to be scared. Thats why we let ourselves think psychics are real, aliens are real, and sadly, god according to "our" own personal religions.

Aliens... hmmmmm...

I believe there are definately other life forms in the universe.. even if it's just a plant.. or maybe some weird cow that lives on planet Zenon. The universe is too huge for life to only exsist on earth.

I'm not saying there are spaceships out there..but there might be. but I think anybody who claims they saw a spaceship without proof is full of crap. But I will always believe there are other lifeforms out there.. we just have to find them.

My experience with ghosts I am sure can be explained by the type of light switch we had but I still tell it like it was a ghost.

We had our kitchen light dim and brighten several evenings in a row, always during dinner. After about a week of this happening I yelled "you do that again and I am going to punch you out" which of course made the light dim.... So true to my word I made a swing towards the area of the light switch which of course must have made contact with the ghost. The ghost apparently did not want any more of what I had and never came back, to this day I sure hope is was not my Grandma that I hit.........

Okay, so what I don't get is that no one has pointed out how awesome it is that PapaBob punched a ghost so hard it never came back.

You win, PapaBob. You win.

All I see is a mad elephant charging an innocent man! :-)

Question: Is this the large cross that is east of Amarillo, Tx on I-40?

Nope no pond. Clouds and trees yes. And I know for a fact what I was wearing that day, cause a friend came by after the shoot, saw my Ambush T-shirt and commented on having seen the band recently. My only Ambush tee is black with silver lettering.

I also maintain that I was crouched down, well out of the way, to the lower left, to do my best to be out of the reflection. I did a very tight crop of this pic. No tripod was used but my skookum 18-200mm lens was.

Think I'll go home and play with my Ouija board now.

Ok, I'm not posting any more pics of weird stuff. Clearly my word as to what I was/wasn't doing, wearing in regard to my Weathered pic have fallen on at least one set of cloth ears.

Well, I'm stumped then. I do believe you that it's not your reflection, nor that of any other person. I just think it's a coincidence of shapes produced by other reflections and shadows.

*mwaahh* to Louis..I do get carried away at times, sorry baby, love you! ;-)

OK OK, my neighbour has just this very evening (Sunday July 20) fessed up...he saw how intense my concentration was...I had been shooting another lantern until he produced the one I shot here...so he, yes in a white tee, was holding the OTHER lantern up in front of his face so his distinctive white hair/mustache wouldn't show up...he is the ghost!!! So he basically pranked me, I thought he went straight back to working on his deck.

Gotta watch those sneaky retired guys.
