A few discussions suggest that there is very low voting due to the Olympics. Which is just wrong, of course. Mine started at a 6.5 - sank to a 5.8 - rose to a 6.2 - sank to a 5.9 - rose to a 6.1 and so forth. That's only due to extreme voting, in my opinion. The image itself does not warrant extreme scores either way - it's just a good shot (ahem).

Well, they're idiots, since your photo is definitely not a snapshot.
It's hot here, too. You know when you get a heat advisory in the desert, you're in trouble. However, I'm not sure how to convey the blistering heat here... thinking... thinking... |

I keep going between a 5.6 and a 5.7. Two comments and they both liked it.
ALSO, make sure you check your e-mails... I sent you all my cold entry and I want your opinions. I already got two responses.

Well i must say i did bust my arse to make sure i had a decent shot to put up against you. You are a good sport and a worth opponent! I still am waiting to gloat till rollover, just in case... =)

Well, guys, I have a 5.6 in food, which I have to say is actually better than I expected. Go figure!
Belgium is a bit on the cool and damp side, but not much to shoot for either hot or cold. I'll give those a ponder when I get home. |

well we are pluggin along here, I have been sneaking stealthily into the other rooms to check out there scores, and everyone is in the same boat with plunging scores etc.
Well probably not Iceland, but I do not think that they are actually human.
So how is everyone doing on their hot and cold entry, I liked yours Ian, thought that was a very lovely shot.

as all the others: my score is dropping 6.06
hot/cold: didn't shoot yet, have some ideas though
I'll have to do this today - an other soccer tournament Sat/Sun
Hopefully the lost one until Labor Day. |

Not exactly sure how things are going to work out the next two weeks...
Depending on the challenges, I may or may not be able to submit something for the next two weeks. We're going to Florida tomorrow (I already got my shot for Hot/Cold) and I will have a laptop and I will be able to submit but if the challenge requires something like a studio shot or something, I'll let you guys know if I can't submit.

My Food is currently back up in 6-land. It was in the high fives there for a while. I swear... the stress...
Hot/Cold - I'm a last minute kinda gal, people. I'm sure I'll come up with something - can't work unless there's pressure.
Also I've had a flu/sore throat/thing and have been severely under the weather.

| OK, team, I bought props, though up ideas, and shot for Hot, twice. And I've got nothing. Nada. Zip. I really am not comfortable with set-up shots, which seem to be the thing of late. I'm open to ideas... I'll only be able to shoot tomorrow - on Tuesday I'm taking the day off to meet up with another DPC'er in Köln and won't be home in time to process and post before rollover. Other than Ian, is anyone else in already? |

Food seems to be stabilized at 6.1 - it was roller-coaster time for a while.
I have zero ideas for Hot or Cold. This flu really did a trip on me. I shot yesterday for Sugar and ditched every single photo - submitted nothing. Now, looking at the entries, I should have gone ahead.
Today - a Hot or Cold inspiration will hit me - I just know it!
Anyone else besides Ian and Heini got something? |

I really think your HOT entry is tight (A kid's slang word for awesome). It should score well.
Oh yeah, and my food is 5.6 and I have an entry for sugar that (if it holds up) will make my homepage.

Hey hey - I'm in Cold with 2 hours and 10 minutes to spare! It was like birthing triplets since I feel like poo.
But for the Team! woo. :o)
Good luck to us all!
On the bright side, my recipe is holding with a strong 6.1 - so even the scrubber shouldn't bump it into the 5's at this point. For a while it was dicey.

well done everyone on your scores, they where really good. we have to suffer another week now with waiting for our scores for this challenge (WHich I think we all agonized over!)
waiting to see what the new challenges are, hopfully inspiring
edited to add.... I am very proud of all of you for entering shots when you are on vacation or sick as dogs etc. It really is a fabulous team we have here that pull together adn egg each other on with ideas and suggestions.
