Just happened across this book on the Patent mess. Since we recently had the lightbulb challenge, I thought the cover illustration was of interest. Quite similar to the top entry in our challenge, and a good example of how stock images are used.Patent Failure

a friend of mine is a computer programmer at a large outfit that helps inventors market their ideas. They have to disclose how many make a profit compared to how many don't. Something on the order of 2 or 3 have made money out of the 300,000+ that have paid the company to market their invention. Sounds terrible until you realize that's a better success ratio than 3M!
