Excellent point!

bergiekat, I couldn't understand Dirt_Diver's statement related to thread topic, that's the reason I was... well, trying to be funny :/

*scratching his head, thinking "was it related to the thread subject?" *

I did think it was funny, lol...just teasing you, silly. Oops, I forgot the " :P " in my original, sorry.

Thanks, bergiekat for appreciating my silliness.

Still to come, perhaps, would be Nature, the trio might consist of Birds, Animals, Sealife.
(I'm still joking. If you're reading this Langdon, close your eyes)

Seriously though, even if Landscape XVIII happened, have we each really taken the definitive landscape picture of our career? I know I haven't.

I don't really think the subject matter of any given challenge is boring, unless we make it so.

My take on this (for what it's worth) is that most of us actually try to get a good shot for the challenge. If we aren't successful, we don't want another week of "do overs" and would like time to lick our wounds, lol! My creativity at this point in my life is limited and when I have to keep trying to reinvent something amazing with the same topic numerous times...I shut down. :P Maybe I should start drinking more wine and then figuring out my shots, lol!
Can't we have a few weeks of completely unrelated, in any way, topics to shoot? I Double dog dare Langdon to pick three unrelated from the Double Dog Dare thread, muahahaha!

i came up with this funny idea yesterday

this site is meant to be about challenge, well we are being challenged to come up with more and more creative ways to do the same topic.

So i think the site has done that, we are challenged, so there is less moaning about 3 in a row from me and time to get the thinking cap on!

For example, right now with the Recipe (food) and Recipe (beverage) challenges, the same skills would be applied to both challenges. It would be much nicer to have options that vary not only in subject matter but photographic skills and interests so we can choose the one that fits us best.

Thats kind of what I was meaning actually. I totally bomb at landscapes and still life. There are no options for a person of my (and a lot of other people's) photography skill set right now. And with bad timing I missed the "anything but landscape" challenge, my one shot to enter something recently.

Plus it just gets boring! Not just for entering but for voting too.

Haha nice one. That took me a second... a little slow today. ;D

Now you've doomed us all. We are going to have a million photos of standing glasses of water.

Ah, JulietNN, there is truth in what you say. I'm already looking forward to 'Tepid.'

Love the idea, lol. And yes, the site is challenging us...I'm just a blockhead sometimes for ideas. :P
