The current version of Kazaa installs a 'P2P' software application called 'Altnet'.

Not wanting anything I didnt ask for, I disabled it/uninstalled it/whatever as soon as I could.

However, I'm curious as to whether anyone here uses it and whether they've benefitted from it. I read somewhere that someone 'won' a digital camera with the Points program.

Kazaa is listed as spyware on the :Spyware Infested Sortware List

I would you suggest you scan your system with Lavasoft's Ad-aware, available for free here:Lavasoft homepage

If you are not using a firewall check out ZoneAlarm, also free for home use:

Yeah, I've done all that - but what I'm interested in is if anyone actually uses the Altnet software?
