Hi Everybody,

I'm ready to start displaying some of the photos I've taken during the past 3 years since I've aquired a DSLR. By displaying, I mean beyond just posting on a web page. This includes making a portfolio case, and displaying photos in my office. Unfortunately, I'm running into some problems and I wondered if any of you had to go through the same thing.

I've have selected 9 photos to start with. 2 have a measurement ratio of 4:5. This is good for the portfolio and very easy to get a picture frame at a local store, i.e. 8x10 photos.

The other 7 have a measurement ratio of 2:3. This is my real problem. I've searched the internet for 2 separate days. There are no portfolio cases that I can find that hold 8x12 photos. I can find 11x14 portfolio cases, which I may be forced to use. Did any of you have this problem, or were you able to crop to 8x10? I'm not sure if I can do this to all the photos without ruining the shot. I have been able to find relatively cheap 8x12 frames at Adorama for $3.99 each.

Who the hell set up these weird photo measurements, i.e. 5x7, 8x10, and especially 11x14? Why do our cameras shoot at 2:3? It works fine at 4x6 but nothing else. UUUUUGGGGHHHH!!

Thanks in advance.
