Hey all Nikon people,

Anyone have a copy of the Picture Project cd-rom? When I got my D40 I got the bonus DVD but not the Picture Perfect. I really want to be able to shoot RAW and convert same.

I have tried to download RAW converters off the net but no luck. Main problem is I am running Photoshop CS on an iBook G3, OS X.10.3. And there IS a RAW converter in my copy of PS, but when I try to run it, get told 'Could not complete your request because it is not the right kind of document.'

So, I am still stuck shooting in JPEG though I'd much rather use RAW.

So if you no longer have a use for your gently used copy of Picture Perfect, please p.m. me! If you know of an NEF program that will play nice with both my limited little G3 and PS CS, please p.m. me!

Thanks in advance, Susan

Yeah, a G3...

Did your G3 come with Graphic Converter App? That may do it. Try Pict Bridge too.

Rawker. It's pointed out on the page that Rawker 2 requires MacOS X 10.4 or later, so OSX 10.3 users should use Rawker 1, which comes in the same download file. It doesn't seem to be capable of doing much with RAW files but it might be enough until you find a better solution.

Thanks Tycho...and I may soon be purchasing an iMac running OS X 10.4.11...should help me get up to speed in some sense of the word!!!

All I need is a RAW conversion program that can convert NEF/RAW to JPEG, and get along with both PS CS and my G3 running 10.3. Surely that's not too much to ask!

Melon, no sign of either Pict Bridge or the other program...but thanks very much anyway! :-)
