This weekend I'm headed to the backwoods of Pennsylvania to shoot point of color and weathered. Figure there's an old barn with my name on it...
Its good to be back in DPC-land and I look forward to working with you all. |

Ringo, you are more than welcome to send me your point colour shot |
Well I has born in Bremen, Germany and lived there for 17 years. My family still lives there and I have the chance to see them about twice a year.
6.9 anything is great. Good luck Heisch. |

Not north NJ this time but fairly often over the fall. My son is now living with his father in Westchester County, NY - just over the Bear Mountain Bridge. Better baseball prospects up there. I'll be visiting over the summer and fall and there's a tiny town who's name escapes me for the moment (Quaker or amish) on the border of NY/NJ.
Where in NJ? I used to live on the NY side, spent a lot of time at Greenwood Lake... |

Unbelievable. I used to hang out in Suffern and have been to Ramsey. There used to be a little bar on the side of the road on the way in from the New York side on 202...Course that was 20 years ago...
Sure - I'd love to - haven't been on that side of the river in about 20 years. It was beautiful back then...guessing it hasn't changed much. |

To those who sent me their e-mails....
I sent you my submission. Tell me what you think of it. Be brutal! Also (VERY IMPORTANT) I have a Mac, so the photo might look different on a Windows. PLEASE tell me if it's too dark or something. I will fix it immediately.
Thanks,
Ian |

LOL! No, I'm working all day and then drive straight to the hospital (my Mum-in-law took a stroke last Friday) then back home to straighten the flat, do some cooking, cleaning, washing, etc. And THEN I try to get ribbons ;-))
I'm having to sit this round out but I wish you guys the best of luck, I'm sure you'll do well. I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for you.
Go! Team! Germany!! |

Louis, thanks for the jerseys!!
How can we make them bigger. Other teams have full-sized ones in their profile and mine is eensie. I don't know how to not post it as a thumb. Help?

I've got a couple of options for this week's open - I figure the least I can do for Team Germany is post pictures of, well, Germany! (I don't think that's giving anything away... all my shots, with few exceptions, are taken in Germany these days.)
Once I get a few sorted, I'll be asking for "which one do you like best" advice. I don't think the whole team needs to pick (unless they want to), so maybe just one or two who volunteer to be kind-hearted advisors? |

I'll volunteer. And I have one for weathered that I'm kind of bored about if anyone wants to look and critique. Gotta go out again today to find some more... |

First, copy the image to your portfolio if you don't mind. Then use the [img] tag instead of the [thumb] tag to put it in your profile. Like this, but take the extra space out that appears before the first "]", and replace the number after the equals sign with whatever image ID you get when you copy it to your portfolio:

I received some of your guy's opinions on my "Point of color" entry, and I will be making a few adjustments. Also, I don't think I still have everyone's e-mail from the team, so if you could send that to me, (just pm me) that would be great.
Thanks,
Ian |

Shot about 5 pics yesterday, nothing special at all, all boring.
Going out later today for some more alternatives.
If you want to bounce your pics by me, you're welcome to do so.

I wish i could enter teh rainbow one as it is still piddling with rain and gale force winds here. I am goign to look at the last weeks photos and see if anything pops out. If not , then I will have to enter a moody dark photo with an ISo of about 9 million +
How is the rest of the team doing, lets hae a roll call to see where we stand right now and what challenge we are entering. The landscape challenge at the moment has less entrys, so i will probably go for that. Unless I photo my wrinkles at the end of the day, I certainly look weathered then!!!
H, tried your suggestion on the layer and couldnot for the love of money get it to work, but did sort out the center thing and a very very good call that was. Thank you

Juliet, I have a shot or two or three for Landscape. Heini has picked on, Courtenay has picked another. Do you want to throw your two cents in and break the tie? :-) I'll PM you here in a sec...
