This fails as a line of reasoning. Things and events that people make and do necessarily come from thoughts, but that does not imply that thoughts manifest themselves into objects or events merely by having been thought. There is no evidence that demonstrates this is even remotely true. |

It is by will alone I set my mind in motion. It is by the juice of Sapho that thoughts acquire speed - The lips acquire stains - The stains become a warning - It is by will alone I set my mind in motion.
Actually - there is a youtube video explaining the Secret of the "The Secret". It sums it up quite nicely.

"Dune" right?
Those of you that know, I used to be a psychology minor in college. It interests me.
I put in thing like this for people to talk about, argue over, attempt humor with, and basically think about.
"The Secret" is no secret at all...it is common sense.
A good attitude twords life, positive thinking, goal taking, and pursuit of dreams are part of what make a successful person. Success breeds success, and positive people are attractive.
When was the last time you met someone that 'wowed' you over?
NO...not with a photograph, but with their personality.
A person that has all the cliche's in life pinned on their chest, "standing tall", "chest out", "confident in what they do", "a follower of their dream", "spirited", "godly", "smiles all the time", ect., ect., these people have that attractive value that the secret is trying to sell.
It's no secret. It is, however inspiring.

Duh. First the thought, then the action, then the product. Of course he didn't really have donkey dung on his desk, but we could all get together and make arrangements to send him some, then his thought would be manifested. ;-) |
