55-64' ers

It seems typical for the rebelous and indepentant free-thinkers, that we are, to be leaderless, but I've opened a commune where we can drop out and feel the love.

Totally agree with this idea and what do I have to do to join at Google. Would you like to be captain please. Also what should we call ourselves.

Juliboc-- hope you'll consider being our captain, Julie.

For Over 65 only:

Sorry to be unresponsive. I was on the road for three days relocating to our summer cottage.

My suggestion for a team name is "Born Again", since that's the way I felt when I retired. I am having so much fun now that I feel like a child.

I am honored that you asked me to be captain. I will be glad to do it, but I not sure what that will entail. I guess a good captain would have lots of ideas in that arena.

I saw that someone set up an off site location to share photos. I think I could do that through a group "Sky Drive". I would need everyone's email address to give them authorization. The other way to do it would be to just upload our potential entries to our DPC workshops and then send a PM or email to the team members with a link to the images. Do we all have Workshops on DPC?

Anyone have any other ideas of feelings about these suggestions?

Sorry Juli, I just couldn't help myself I tried to look away but it was just like watching a train wreck, impossible not to look. Will I suffer any harm, for this disobedience? Will I now start to age accordingly. My eyes, they burn, they burn... :)~

MAX!

I think i have a good one for point of color, but we won't be using that since it's a member challenge. I'm ready to really focus on the ones announced tonight.

as for names, I have no clue. Something that would define the age range.....I'll try to think.

What 'bout the "GenXer's" ? ? ? We are Generation X, right?!?! LOL I think we are all close anyway..

I thought of that but I think the age group incorporates a few gen y's

but I'm fine with it

I suppose i can fake being a GenXer =0

Ah, Man !!
Do we really need titles and all those negative vibs?
I sent the word to the people with email addresses and DSRay figured it out.
Hopefully the rest can make the scene.
Drop me a PM with your address and I'll send you an invite.

Glad that you will be our captain. We'll need someone to keep us all in line and on target. :p :)

Know what you mean about Born Again -- very true and a good team name suggestion.

I have a workshop set up so uploading there and then either sharing photos via PM or email will be OK with me.

The 65+ team has decided on a name. We are now the Rockers. There are many connotations to this name. You can make of it as you like. But let it be known, WE ROCK !!!

the MLC team has got it goin' on! We are old enough to know our craft, but young enough to still have the stamina and drive to finish the job.

The rest of you can start bowing before us now. ;)

I feel almost sad that the MLC team is about to eliminate some great photographers in just the first round. ;)

Seriously though, good luck to everyone and make sure you enter something!!

Question:
If this is a single knock out...how does that work? Basically when these photos go to vote tonight.... we have to start working on next week's entries...but then you might find you did all that for nothing if you got knocked out..but you will not know if you got knocked out until you do all the work of entering the following week.....

I know I will be frustrated if my team worked all week towards next week's entries, only to find out it was all for nothing!

Cujee can you please clarify how this will work?

I actually never thought about that, but there really is no way around it. Even if you enter a challenge and you're still not in the competition, it isn't a loss really. I mean when there isn't a side tournament going on, do you not participate in challenges?

I would love to make this tournament longer but I have a trip in just over 3 weeks and I can't make it any longer than it already is. Unless someone wants to take over to make this longer, we'll have to leave things the way they are

How about if you lose you go to a consolation bracket with other losing teams to play at least another week? Yes, I know the same problem occurs after that week, but at least the team is still together for another week.

I have no problem, but I'm away for 3 weeks. If someone wants to takeover afterwards we can make this tournament longer.
