Some of the "landscape" photographers must be mad. Three landscape challenges and no HDR.

Errrr.....that is because they are a basic editing challenge!

Yes, that's the POINT... We get THREE landscape challenges in a 1-week span, and NONE of them are advanced editing... We landscape doofuses make rather extensive use of things like gradients, not to even MENTION the "H-technique", and it's frustrating to have to work without our favorite tools. "It seems like the site only gives us so many landscape challenges in a year, and to have them all be basic is disheartening!" he whined piteously :-)

I completely agree! 720 should be the minimum for ANY landscape challenge.

The last three Portrait challenges were basic editing, too. I think Langdon's challenging us.

No! 720 should be minimum for ANY challenge. Infact most people want 800x800.

How dare they challenge us on a challenge site?

I think the dissenters and the sufferers from dysentery should untie with the bad spellers and whoever - 'cos you need all the allies you can get - and be really creative and enter shots that aren't really landscapes at all. I'll go first, but I can't tell you what it is. I can tell you a few things it isn't though. There will be no dog, car or candlestick featuring as major elements in my landscape entry.

After the virtual starting gun has made the virtual bang noise, we can complain about our treatment by the virtual benefactors in the virtual firmament of this virtual place and then a bit more about the (insert pejorative ideological denomination here) dnmc police.

Bastids...

Maybe there trying to put photography in the art and removing the PS aspect. I think it's great.

I have been trying to "untie with bad spellers and whoever" all my life. Does that make me a Luddite?

Well, Robert, perhaps this week you should enter the Weathered challenge.

Just a self-portrait will do. ;-Þ ;-Þ
