Hi, I've actually been a member for about three months, just haven't been on the forums that much. I thought I'd introduce myself :)
So yes. Hi! I'm Jessie. I'm from Indiana and I'm gonna go to Taylor University in the fall...hey, anyone else from Taylor?? That'd be sweet! Anyways, I'm pretty new to digital photography (not just snapshots)...I'm really bad at exposure, too, lol. I've been lurking around in the forums a bit and from what I've read, you guys have a really awesome community here!! I'm looking forward to getting to know you all. |

That was extremely informative, thanks very much!
O, I forgot to tell about how I started getting into photography...
Well, back around thanksgiving time, my boyfriend started getting really into photography...he's talked about it nonstop for about nine months now. So I figure, if you can't beat 'em, join 'em! Haha. No, actually, I've always liked photography but have been cursed with horrible cameras...after playing around with his DSLR I decided to get really into things. |

Thanks for the update about your experience. I see that you had a problem with the Fuji 350. I have used the 360, and now keep an A820 with me at all times. I find the 820 to be excellent for macro and text, good for snapshooting, and noisy in low light. With photos shot in good light, I often have to look at image size or the exif (camera generated photo info file with the photo) to see if the image was shot with my S3Pro, or the 8mp A820. I also have a Vivitar T25, 12meg, but the Fuji beats it by a lot in ease of use and in color quality of the images. Most of the shots in my portfolio were done with the S3 and older Nikon lenses from the 1970's and early 80's.
When you do get a DSLR, you will enjoy the way it gets the shot when you mash the shutter button without the delay.

The main problem with the A350 is that the lens usually doesn't extend all the way...which makes photography extremely frustrating, because by the time I've hit the power button 6 or 8 times trying to get the lens to extend, the photo op (and the battery!) is gone. I think it also has exposure problems? It's good for macro (altho it barely gives any bokeh), though...this may be the best image that ever came out of it.
Yeah...that's definitely one of the things I'm looking forward to!
