I haven't been around for about two weeks because I shot a wedding two weeks ago that I can't get over. I'm not pleased at all with the work because the lighting in the church was horrific!!! UGH. No one was around in the church to turn off the spot light at the front of the church for formal shots, and nearly no ambient light to balance the spot light. Then during the service it was dark, but those I'm not as concerned with because I have enough of those that turned out well. The spot light just killed me :(
I know that I can work on the photos and create something beautiful with them but I'm just so frustrated by it all. I was ready to hang up my camera and start selling equipment because I'm having a hard time getting over that wedding. I think part of the problem is I had high hopes of using this wedding for advertising etc. because the bride is gorgeous. I may be able to pull some out for that but I wanted some great knock out shots that I just didn't get. I still have TONS of editing to do. I have a hard time making myself do it because I just get disgusted all over again.
So here's my question... Has anyone else had a hard time getting over a bad shoot?
Secondly, has anyone hired someone to do post processing for them? I am thinking about it just to have someone else help me see the forest for the trees. |

I have a friend who works in a large studio in washington doing all of the retouching for many photographers. I would trust her with my work in a second. PM me if you want her contact info and I will happily pass it on |
