The problem started yesterday and I cannot seem to fix the problem. Anyone seen this before or had such a problem. I need help getting it fixed.
I must have changed some setting but don't know what.

Here's what is going on.

When I open Photoshop [New document or existing] I get this warning box

If I click "Ignore Profile" everything seems fine...I don't know but the colors are ok.
[thumb]690365[/thumb]

But if I click "Use Anyway" I get this weird green instead of white.

Anyone know what may be wrong and how to correct it?

Thanks in advance,
Scott

What happened after you re-calibrated your monitor?

If you use the "defective" profile, PS thinks your monitor has a strong Magenta cast; the green tone is supposed to compensate. If you re-run the calibration software and create a new (non-defective) profile, it should be OK.

But if you click "Ignore" and everythng is OK, why change?

I have to do a manual calibration since CS3 no longer comes with adobe calibrator. But when saved doing a calibration from any calibration software the same thing happens.

I was going to click the "Don't show again" checkbox but wanted to make sure I have my monitor calibrated and Photoshop working correctly before I did so.

In Photoshop I checked Edit> Color Settings and it was set to North American PrePress 2. I have changed it to Monitor Color and the box still appears when I open CS3 but if I click on "Use Anyway" the color is back to normal. But now when I go to save everything turns a pink. Not during editing but when I go to save for web. Here is a screen-shot.

Don't know what OS you are using, but in Win XP, go to Display (it's called Personalization in Vista 64bit), Advanced, Color Management - here you can see what profile is being used for your monitor. Change it to sRGB, then check to make sure that fixed the problem (it should). Then, go ahead and profile your monitor, save the profile and go back to the settings and choose the saved profile instead of sRGB.

Happy to help! I ran into a similar color issue when I added a second monitor.
