and someone just called me out for submitting proof...:/

I think it's rare that a single image stands out, and when it does someone will call it out (in a basic challenge). I have 75 votes but only 125 views! Clearly folks are drawn to your image. I wonder why they are not voting.

You have my sympathy. Better luck next time. ;-)

Made my day. Especially since another commenter not only correctly identified which of your shots was my inspiration, but posted a thumb in the comment! :)

Anyway, today was a goooood day.

I just finished voting and I must say I am quite impressed with the quality of entries in this challenge. I thought I had a decent entry, now I know why it isn't scoring that well.

Woohoo! Just got a validation request. For a darn 5.0x image, but still. Pretty cool.

I am extremely pleased with my score - I haven't entered many challenges lately because I haven't felt inspired...

Some really good ones in here... One of my highest vote average to date I think.

You have rated 121 of 122 images (99%) in this challenge.
You have commented on 65 images (53%) in this challenge.
You have given an average score of 5.9587.

Going to try to 100% comment, but we'll see.

Lots of 7+ this go round. I think mine should be among them, but sadly, the voters do not.

Started out above 6.5 and have been sinking... hopefully a push towards the end of the week to get 'er back up. I like my shot though, and if my score sticks it'll be in my top three.

I did not enter this challenge, but, for those that didn't pre-plan an image that would stand out, I gave you a 5.

For those that had images that stood out, I am glad to see the forethought that went into your execution.

An easy challenge like this one takes a lot more thought because everyone is going to do the same thing.

This is one of those challenges, if you did not know, that %99 of the images are going to blend into one another.

Mine was hanging above 6 for awhile, but sunk back down to 5. But then both of the comments say that my image is one of the best in the entire challenge...?

Just got a 1 vote... if the person felt it DNMC, I wish they'd say so. (It does as there are two persons in it, but still...)

But I did pre-plan my image. I mean, sure, it looks like a randomly snapped shot of two people who happened to be on the sidewalk in front of the bar that night. But in reality, I built a time machine, went back to shortly after the Big Bang, fiddled with the universal physics constants, and shoved around a few infinitesimal bits of matter so that the universe would evolve to the point that those two were in that spot at that time.

I mean, how else would I have known to have my camera pointed at them?

So I gather your impression is that about 2 images were pre-planned. I took that perspective, logged out, and scrolled through the images. My image did not jump out at me! I do think there are a few stand out images.

Sounds like you are punishing everyone instead of rewarding those that thought "outside of the box".

This challenge may be specific, but that doesn't mean it's easier than the other challenges.

I finally finished voting in this challenge. I just have to leave some deserving comments to a few. My overall voting was around 5.5 which is just below my average for voting.

How many votes is everybody receiving compared to views? Just curious. Is a 2 (views) to 1 (votes) ratio normal for these challenges?

Here is mine:

Not top ten contender, but much better then my recent entry's. 2 Fav are very cool. Comments are always appreciated, good or bad. Score has been having a slow but steady decline.

Looks like 2:1 views:votes is not uncommon.

What do you think the score needs to be to make the top ten in this challenge?

Probably a 7 or better...

I'm guessing around 6.4 to make the top ten.

Really settled in since 100 votes, and how about this: the ratio of views to votes is 1.72:1!

Congrats, Peter! Although I like your current 5th-place shot, "A Cold, Lonely Goodbye." Or are you talking about another one?
