I just finished doing a critique where I really wanted to know the aperture used, I was thinking as I critiqued it "Wonder if the person knows how to get the info, or were they just in a rush when the submitted the photo and ignored those things or was it something else."

I know of several ways to get the aperture, ISO, and shutter speed from the orginal. Use the program that came with the camera, most of them have that info available with the proper settings. Also, you can find the info when using psp or photoshop. You just have to look for how to find it the first time.

But the easiet way to get that info when you are uploading the photo to DPC when you are using a pc is...

Click on file on your toolbar.
Click open, find the file and highlight it.
Right click the file.
Click on properties
Click summary and if it doesn't have the info available for you now check the box for advanced and you will have all the photo info you need in front of you.

Weird.. maybe I'm not clicking the right toolbar, but I don't get all that information on my Summary page, less than half (width, height, both resolutions, color rep (RBG etc) and the bit depth) and none of what I actually need. I also don't have an advanced box to check.

Odd.

I just look at it in camera or using the long method you mentioned - software that came with the camera. Wonder why the info isn't there with the shortcut you're talking about though.

Make sure you are checkin on an orginal not something that is retouched.

Also it could be the operating system. I know this method works for XP
