There's a hack to get your Canon EF-S 10-22mm USM ultra-wide angle lens to work on a full frame body (e.g. 5D or 1D Mark III).
I don't know if anyone would like to try this, but someone did!

The Sigma 12-24 is designed for full frame.

107deg diag AOV for the 10-22 vs 97deg diag AOV for the 12-24 on a APS-C sensor camera. So yes, you are correct. That's not the point.
The Sigma gives 122 deg diag AOV on a FF camera without vignetting or, more importantly, taking tools to modify the lens.

That guy is insane. I would never do that to my 10-22 I love that thing...well after my gal. But its up there.
But from the pictures, I could tell that money wasnt an issue to him lol |
