It looks like we may move this to Sunday for more participation. The small festival is only on Saturday, but the sunflowers will still be there.

OK, got to thinking about it. If someone can only make it on Saturday contact me and we'll do the run. Then I'll do the Sunday trip also.

(Saturday) If it's up to four people I will drive the route since I live the closest. I can carry myself +4 in the truck. The gear will fit on the floor board or in the back.

(Sunday) Marge and I will be in the Versa and we can carry 2 extra people, limited trunk space!

Hey Ken, let us know. James and I can do either/both days. Since it will be vacation time, we might just go and get a hotel somewhere. :P

I am going to do both days. On Saturday I will go with the group from Shreveport Photogaphy Society. They are going to be meeting fairly early in the morning. Everyone is invited to join us!

I wish I had some. Here's what I know so far.

Saturday (28 Jun) at about 7:30 am I will be trying to tag up with the Shreveport Photographic Society and DPCrs. They generally all take their own vehicles and don't necessarily stay in one group, but it's a starting point. I will head north and stop in Belcher for a small Veteran's Memorial. Continuing north through the sunflower fields and taking shots. Wind up in Gilliam, LA where there is a small festival and spend some time. Then move on out to see if there is anything else around to shoot.

Sunday (29 Jun) Marge and I will start out again about 7:30 am and pretty much follow the same route except there will not be a festival on Sunday which means there will probably be more time for shooting other than the sunflowers.

Saturday I will have plenty of room for anyone that wants to just ride along with me. Sunday Marge and I may have a full car/truck. Not sure yet!

Not sure we can go now. Got some bad news on James' dad, so we may be taking his parents to AZ for that week. Need to go to OK that weekend to work on the house for them. I'll know more in the next couple of days.

Prayers would be much appreciated for James' dad as we may not have him until Christmas they say. Life has really been throwing curve balls at us the last 3.5 years!!!

Sorry to hear about James's dad. Thoughts and prayers are sent your way.

We've only been home 1 weekend in the last 2 months and it's getting old quick. This weekend is Corpus Christi for a wedding. (Guest not photographer)

Coming up soon! Anyone got their plans to show up for the Sunflower Festival?

p.s. Kat, I hope things are going OK, you and James are still in my thoughts and prayers.

Hello, everyone.

The Shreveport Photographic Society is meeting at the Southern Maid Donut shop on North Market - just north of downtown Shreveport by I-220.
We are meeting at 9:00am and will head to the sunflowers. I've never been, but I hear it a great time for photographers.
