Ok, I'm still having issues with fonts & layers & blending properties & such...
In this image, I've made two copies of our new signature. The first is flat (no blending), while the second has 'emboss' applied to it. When I try to rasterize the text & apply it as a signature, it loses the embossing. Could someone please help? Note - this is my first time ever trying to do this (un virgin de font?). Please provide detailed instructions?
Thanks everyone! I never thought I'd to actually pay for a font, but I think this one does a good job of appearing professional, yet 'friendly'... share your thoughts & opinions?

I don't usually do this kind of thing, but maybe this will work ...
1. Make copies of your type and BG layers (or just work on a copy of your file)
2. Rasterize the text layer and save the resulting selection as a new channel
3. Flatten the image into a single layer
4. Load the save selection -- it should be outlining your type
5. Apply desired filter/effect(s)
BTW: With some work and an old program (Fontographer) it is possible to make a usable font from your own handwriting. |

Oh yeah, also try getting the file the way you want and then use the SaveAsCopy command to export a composite to a TIFF or JPEG file. When you do this you should not have to rasterize the text first.
