This is the first time this has ever happened..some of the pics from my recen download say 'the image is corrupted' and it will not open it.
Any idea why?
How can I stop it from happening in the future? |

What file format? Have you tried opening them with different software?

| If you haven't already, maybe try reformatting your memory card. |

I did have something similar with an 8gig 300x Lexar Card, after a month if dicking around with their useless support I finally just sent it in and got it exchanged for a new one... have a hard time trusting anything over 4gig anymore...

RAW. I only have the software provided by CANON to open RAW. |

It is just a 2Gig Card... :(
I might just buy me another one..if I have to send this off. I don't want to be not taking pictures for a few days. That would be bad. |

:(
It is still doing it to random pictures.
Is it possible for your memory cards to go bad?
I guess I am off to buy another one........ |

There is another thread going right now about card size and dependability.
If you haven't formatted the card yet, you may be able to use recovery software to regain the image files corrupted in it.

By the same token, do you still trust anything over 150x ?

Sounds like it may have just gone bad. How long have you had it? Might it be under warranty or anything, at least you may be able to get a free replacement if so... |
