Braveheart is the first of many that come to mind.

I cried in Dumb and Dumber when the two dumbasses passed up on the opportunity to be the "oil boys" for the Swedish Bikini team.

The Champ got me (when the kid's dad dies after winning the boxing match).

Kids movies get me. Mostly when I was a kid, but not always. Of course ET, Bambi, but now that I'm grown my kid has The Iron Giant. If you've never seen this movie, go get it and check it out. It has a better story and is better produced than most real films. I can't say I cried, but I'll say it brought me closer to tears than any movie I've seen in a long time.

I cried at the end of Autumn in New York. Tears of Joy though... it was finally OVER

Lion King I
The Patriot
Black Hawk Down
I Am Sam
The Green Mile
Braveheart

One I can't remember the name of - Long way home, or long journey? About 2 dogs and a cat that get lost...

I almost had to leave the theater during Schindler's List. It invoked such a deep grief and I had to bite my hand to keep from sobbing out loud. Forrest Gump had me crying for 3 days and made a significant change in my life. For the better. Of course these are not the only, but certainly the most memorable.

this has no business following a "Schindler's List" reference, but ...

i just about cried last weekend when i realized i had wasted $17 to go see Scary Movie 3. :*(

I hate to admit that I cried, but the 1994 movie Shadowlands with Anthony Hopkins is the saddest movie in the world.

It's about a part of the life of C.S. Lewis. It just shows how he met his wife. He was an old batchelor and had been caught up in being a scholar for so long. She quickly died of cancer after they were married only a short time.

I higly reccomend it if anyone wants a good cry!

I think the 2 dogs and a cat movie is "Homeward Bound."

I cried at Charlotte's Web when i was 6. and then again at Moulin Rouge, but that's only because i was jamming a fork into my eyes so I wouldn't have to see any more of it.

I havent actually cried at all while watching a film, but I got close in The Green Mile. Not at the end, but in the middle where that guy with the mouse goes on the chair and that evil blokie didn't wet the sponge. That was horrible and sad :(

Crying Game.

Thank you Steve - Homeward Bound is the one.

I also cried through Mr. Holland's Opus, but I couldn't remember the title earlier...

hmm, i tend to get all emotional in movies anyway, but some more than others--like schlindlers list for sure, braveheart--i am sam--life is beautiful...the list goes on and on. oh, and some are just guaranteed to be tear-jerkers--like i already know i'm going to be completely upset during the pianist, and i havent even seen it yet!

Cry... or sob?
Well... I cry at almost any "touchy feely" moment. Can't even watch those old AT&T or Hallmark commercials - never mind a movie!
Sob? Any movie that others would normally shed a few tears at... I'd be trying to catch my breath.

OMG! The worst one yet was A.I.! (Artificial Intelligence). I SOBBED! My daughter and I looked at each other after the movie and said "That is just wrong! And should not be allowed!" LOL

I don;t cry at movies, its against "The Redneck Code of Ethics". Seriously, its because I stay away from sad movies. With all the misery in the world I prefer to watch funny movies, hokey old 50s sci-fi B movies, and The 3 Stooges. The closest I've came to crying was watching Martina McBride's "Concrete Angel" music video

There's also an older movie called the Incredible Journey with a similar theme. It wasn't made into a movie, but my friend Kate's dog Emma somehow got herself back to Berkeley after being "forgotten" at Point Reyes by some inebriated housemates ....

Oh, I'd be soooo mad if I were Kate... good thing Emma was able to find her way home. Dogs are pretty incredible. :-)

Well, I think I cry at Ghost. Anytime I see it - and I have seen it a lot of times.

How about "Return To ME"?
Did anyone care for that movie?
I kinda liked the cast and soundtrack.
I thought David Duchovny, Minni Driver, James Belushi, Carrol O'Connor, Joely Richardson and Robert Loggia were great. It was about the only time I could watch Bonnie Hunt :)

My seasonal favorite is "The Bishop's Wife" with Cary Grant, Loretta young and David Niven. I'm a big time classic fan. "The Preacher's Wife" with Denzel Washington and Whitney Houston was an attempt at a remake of "The Bishop's Wife".

Agh.. country music is pretty much the only music that the lyrics can make me cry. Concrete Angel is one of them for me, so is the I'm Already There song by uhh.. Lonestar - particularly the 9/11 version (boy was that a dumb one to put in on the way to work), and there's another one about a girl who's father kills the mother then himself and she says that Jesus was there holding her? I don't remember the name of it..

Oh and there's one they usually play around Christmas, I think it might be called Mama Bear - about the truck driver's widow who's son wants to ride in a big rig and all the truckers that hear him on the CB come down and give him a ride.. *sigh*

Damn country music I say!

Oh yeah, I don't cry at most cartoon/animated movies but Shrek did me in, as does that cartoon "Feed the Kitty" with the dog who's pet kitten gets made into cookies.. ah the anguish on his face.. tears aplenty for those two. (oddly enough the rip off version on Monsters Inc. did nothing for me)

Anyway.. I ramble.

"Saving Private Ryan" was one of the saddest movies I've seen. I don't watch movies very much these days, too many other things I want to do.

Fortunately this was many years ago ... Emma in fact did eventually exhaust what seemed to be more lives than a cat a few years ago and is now with us only in spirit. But she was quite a dog for sure.
