I guess it's not major news if it doesn't have real-world impact, but I thought these stories were worth noting:

Articles of Impeachment Against Bush Are Sent to Panel
By THE ASSOCIATED PRESS
Published: June 12, 2008

The House has voted 251 to 166 to send articles of impeachment against President Bush to the Judiciary Committee, which is not likely to hold hearings before the end of his term. Representative Dennis J. Kucinich, Democrat of Ohio, who ran for president, spent more than four hours on Monday reading his 35 articles of impeachment into the record.

Kucinich Seeks to Impeach Bush
By THE ASSOCIATED PRESS
Published: June 11, 2008

Representative Dennis J. Kucinich, Democrat of Ohio, defied his party leadership on Monday by calling for the impeachment of President Bush for starting the war in Iraq ΓΆ€” but his move was not expected to go anywhere. Mr. Kucinich, a former presidential candidate, outlined his intention to propose more than two dozen charges against Mr. Bush on the floor of the House. He accused Mr. Bush of executing a "calculated and wide-ranging strategy" to deceive citizens and Congress into believing that Iraq posed an imminent threat to the United States. Speaker Nancy Pelosi has repeatedly said she opposes trying to remove Mr. Bush, calling such an effort divisive and most likely unsuccessful.
