I just fear that "some" voters will scale their voting based upon his portfolio and that, to me, is wrong. I felt compelled to bring this up as I'll send some pretty sharp PMs back at the narrow minded commenters who go down that path. Nuff said.

Well, it says: Photograph something representative of a cowboy this week.

I'm going with that on entry and voting. I'm sure Sean would have too.

I just got back from the Water Valley Stampede about 40 minutes north of Calgary. Its been raining all weekend and the arena is about two and a half feet of mud. Somehow I managed to get my little car (a Toyota Echo) into the grounds on a road with ruts that were two feet deep. Then it started raining some more and I decided leave early and thus missed the bull riding which is my favorite event. I ended up needing to get a tractor to pull me out because I could get no traction and the two feet ruts evolved into three foot craters that 4 X 4's were getting stuck in. Consequently I had to stop to wash the car or else my fiancee would kill me.

So I am now cold, I am wet and and I am dirty...

...and I loved every minute of it!

:)

Hope you do really well in the challenge for that effort

Yeah, I'm uploading the pics right now. I am pretty sure I have a few keepers in the bunch but I am excited to see what I've got. I know Sean would have enjoyed himself and that makes the day even better.

edit: grammar

200+ pics and narrowed down to 10. I wish I could share them right now but then I'll lose my anonymity since there's signage that's in all of them :(

I guess I'll have to wait for the out takes to show them all off.

After a near 7 1/2 month dry spell, I put my entry in...and I have shut off scores so I can enjoy other's entries more than obsessing over my own. Can't wait to see what others have put forth in Sean Matos's honor.

Gotcha beat Citadel..I took 400+ this afternoon, had a helluva time choosing because so many were strong possible entries...

I really wanted to do this challenge. I was going to a park-ranch way out on the boondocks, but they closed the road down because of a bad motorcycle accident.

But I will certainly vote and comment on the challenge.

*sniff* I rained out! Not fair!

=)

Of the 10 I had to pick from 3 were possible entries. Now I have one in. Now I can see how mad my fiancee is since I've more or less abandoned her all day...
