Hi ELLIPS,

I think you made the right choice: people like people and your people shot was very nice. The others are just as nice and I like them better then your entry. But, I think the average DPC'er will go for a nice 'People' shot over a nice 'Landscape' shot any day. Hey, your photo did great as is was!

Anyway, here's my entry:


Here's what else I considered:

I liked the 'Snow' one best of all but I thought too many people might think it a 'fake' somehow. I mean snow, in May? But yes, it really snowed and it tripped me out!
I think I should have gone with the one with blue in it. People like blue but my son talked me into the one I submitted: because it showed the clouds better. Either way, I'm happy...thanks for lookin' and take care...

lovethelight, nixter, ELLIPS, nshapiro and aguapreta. I clearly like the posted versions better(slightly or more) than your outtakes.

Finished at 4.5 and 4%, so almost any other photo would have done better. I got 3 comments and two of them were positive.

I considered entering this



Which I suppose could not have done too much worse.

Any comments on either of them are most welcome.

Not really an outtake since it's the same photo -- or is it an outtake? Semantics aside, I'm kind of sorry I didn't just leave the image alone -- or enter something else.

This may be odd. But my favorite part is the arm in the left hand corner that is holding the cig.

I'm glad someone noticed! That's part of the reason I didn't try to rotate it. I think there's a lot of neat but subtle things going on it, but subtle is never conducive to a high score.
