I lost track and I'm curious, what is the latest powershot camera that would replace the a40/a60/a80 that line-up..

Thanks,
Buzz

they made the numbering very confusing--

the a580is/580 seems to be the latest--

But the a650 seems to be the top model, (I think), its the most spensive at least.

Then theres the a720is, number wise its the highest (meaning the 720 part) but its not the highest MP, or priced one--

I've got an A590 IS. I think it's pretty new.

I bought the Canon A650 IS a while back and I think it was the latest in that style (rotating monitor, cheesy viewfinder, 12 MP, IS) but they make so many models with sometimes minimal differences it is hard to tell. You just have to decide what you want and then find the model that fits your specs. You can then visit DPReview to be sure it is the latest and greatest.
