I seem to have some problems registering. I opened an payPal account and in order to activate I have to insert a four digit number that I don't have. Do I have to wait until they send this number by mail? I might be wrong but I am reading in english for two hours already and all I see now are words with no sense to me... I must have done something wrong.

I have all these windows opened and I don't really know what to do... Somebody who did became a member... There is no other way to pay for becoming a member and I don't really know where that 4 digit number was supposed to be.

Yep, you have to wait for the first invoice of your credit card and there you will find the four numbers you have to enter on Paypal. It is a long wait, it happened to me too!!!

Well... then I can close all those windows... the first invoice will come in a month or so. Thank you, kiwiness. At least now I know.... I thought I should have read it somewhere and I let the page go.

Can't I just send a check to DPC? It would be a lot faster.

I believe you don't actually need a PayPal account to make a payment to a PayPal seller. You should just be able to give your credit card details.

It's possibly worth trying the DPC member subscription again, and carefully reading the various options. Obviously they want to make people think they need an account to get more PayPal users..

There was another thread recently about paying by check here

Also when you start a paypal account you have to pay a $1.50 fee, but you'll get that refunded when you get your credit card statement and use the four numbers you are given. That's how it was when I opened my paypal account in January. I don't think it has changed yet.
