It doesn't work for me, either. Same problem - when I click on the button, it takes me to another (blank) page. |

I downloaded with "save as" command. I placed it in an Actions folder. I had to add file extension, as windows wanted to save it as HTML file. My PS after starting doesn't see the new files, but when I'm trying to download them again, I can see them. Anyway it's just a PS CS3 trial, maybe that is the problem, or I did something wrong :(
Any help is appreciated. |

You won't be able to do that. Just because you change the extension name doesn't make it readable by a program. for example... in windows explorer go to an image. Change the .jpg to .txt and then save it. Then try to open the file. All you will see is a bunch of boxes and code. That is the actual code that the computer reads to show you the image. Now change it back to .jpg and you will get your picture back but the point is, you're trying to save and .HTML (full of code) as a .atn file. Won't work sweetie sorry... We will figure it out here shortly, I will work on it tonight some and see if I can hack the file. If I figure out the secret I will post it.

Rennie, after you dropped them into the Photoshop Actions folder, did you double click each of them and start photoshop that way to the program recognizes the files? if you didn't then photoshop won't see em'...

By using Firefox I was able to download BUT... when double-clicked I was told "to open this file Windows needs to know what program created it. etc."
I WAS able to open PS and load to the actions palette, but not via your instructions. |

I clicked one of them and PS started. I opened Actions window and there was no action I clicked on. I closed PS and opened it again - the same thing. I looked into Actions folder - they are not visible. I tried to download again and they showed up in a "save to" window with proper extention and icon, etc.
No idea what have I done wrong :( |

When you open the Actions window, go to the tiny arrow at the top right, then look under that for "load actions" It should open the window where the file is. I couldn't do it the way he said, either :)

If you have managed too get the action into the palette, but it wont do anything to the image when you hit play, you must check the box to it's lefts to enable it with photoshop. ...and there are many ways to load it into the palette, by far the quickest way is to drag it into the folder and double click it, but each possible ways are as follows:
1. Drag .atn file into folder "photoshop actions" and double click it, then in actions pallet check the box next to it.
2. Drag .atn file into folder "photoshop actions" and then open up photoshop and in the actions pellete menue, choose "Load Actions" and select the downloaded file from the folder "Photoshop Actions"
3. Go into photoshop and paste the link of the download (NOT the page where the download button is), the one that shopws up in the second window's adress bar when you try to download. Then select OK. Photoshop will serach the internet if connected properly, and use the action as a "One time Action" only, this meas that when internet is disconnected, or computer crashes, of photoshop is lost in any way, the action will not be there.
#1 and #2 are the easyest by far, but only resort to three if needed. I will try to construct a program that can automatically install actions, or find one on the web and give a lin on the site. Thanks for you feed back!

One other thing.... your page on the Gariety Effect... the src code on the DOWNLOAD NOW button links to the same as the other link which in the source code shows to be for SKIN SMOOTHER... //attachments.wetpaintserv.us/u5o5o6CH9%2B3KAbee274q%24Q%3D%3D492

Ok...I still can't download anything, and don't want to install another browser to do so. Is it possible to get this in a zip file and have emailed? I'd like to play around with them if I could.
Thanks!

I really can't work out what's wrong with your browser.
I click the link above, it asks me do I want to open with PS CS3, or save, I press save, end of. |

So I thought I would give this another try. I like the improvement to the web site, easier to navigate and figure out what's going on. Using IE I selected an action and clicked the download button. It opened another window and then McAfee SiteAdvisor popped up warning that your site is a malicious site and places spyware on my computer, so I aborted and probably won't try again.
