Hey so I've really want to shoot INSIDE an abandoned building. One with cement chunks chipped off the wall and now laying on the floor, old worn paint you get the idea. I want to shoot some shots with a model but alas I have no idea where to find such places. Does anyone know where to find one in the oregon area that I would be allowed into? I can't do the whole tresspassing thing or I rush my shots cause I'm nervous and I just don't want to.

FYI (I'm 30 minutes from portland oregon and about 30 miles from longview washington) so northwest oregon or sw washington locations please...

You know, I've been inside the old silo off of Dike Road Exit 21. Sorta interesting. Not industrial though, if that's what you are looking for. I asked at the house across the street who owns the property and she gave me her own permission ("If anybody stops you, tell 'em Vicki said it was OK") although she wasn't the owner. :)

I'm unaware of any public abandoned buildings that have easy access.

On top of that watch out for bums, crack heads, killers, crazy's, car jackers, pimps, hoes, and Mrs. Jackson.

I can't think of any abandoned industrial buildings around this area (Raineer to Portland). I can't think of a single one in St Helens. There are some in and around Portland, but getting permission to enter them may be difficult, if not impossible.

This one is pretty cool looking, but you can't even get close, let alone inside.

what helps me sometimes about finding abandoned sites is to just google for something like "urban explorer [+your region]" which brings up a whole lot of pages with listings of these places.
good luck on your search and drop me a mail when yer in germany i know some awesome desolate places here...;)

oh and don't worry too much about permissions, at least here in germany i've never had any problems with security even when some sign said that the area was guarded by security. when there's a fence there's also a way to get through! :D

I was in germany a couple years ago.... I was using film still then... I used to roll my own film and wouldn't you know it I got off the plane and the endcaps had busted off ruining every shot I took..... Now that I have my digital I'd love to go back some day.
