I've been processing some photos for big prints and my CS3 was taking issue. Twice when I booted it up, it gave an error message saying it couldn't load the actions. Well, turns out the actions are just plain gone. Nowhere to be found.

Any ideas about this? I suppose I can go hunt them down on the web and reupload them, but jeez.

Have you checked the actions folder? If its windows it'll be C:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop CS3\Actions (i think)

It's the weirdest thing. I used Explore and the actions are in the Presets folder along with brushes and other CS3 specific filters and stuff.

Then I opened CS3 again and everything is there and accessible, except the actions - in fact, now the actions button on the side is gone altogether. I am mystified.

Well, if the action files are still there, first thing I'd do is back them up to an external drive or another location so you don't lose them. Then, try loading them back up in CS3.
