Hello, I just took a great shot for Free Study, but when I put it on my computer it had this really old, grain, vintage feel too it, I still like the image, but I was wondering if there's any way to reduce he vintage effect. Thanks in advance!

Neat Image can help remove noise if that is what is causing the grain. |

yes, the picture is still nice but it would be better without the vintage... I don't even know why it's there. It was there before editing and it's in now!

Having a "vintage" look to a photo usually means that there is some fading in both tone and color. To try and compensate for such a look, I'd try boosting the contrast with Curves and high-radius USM, and try to adjust and/or saturate the colors to avoid that "pastel" look. |

You're welcome -- though I find it vaguely disturbing that I can give useful advice on fixing a photo I've never seen ... ;-)
Maybe after the voting is over, you can post it in the Before and After thread we're running for June -- sounds like an excellent candidate. |

I'll give you some hints and maybe you can figure it out...
1. Vintage effect
2. Sky is in photo
3. Grass is in photo
4. Picture of valley
With that info, try to find it and leave me a comment...
