Now that summer is upon us, at least for those of us in the Northern Hemisphere, I thought it time to suggest a Jimmy Buffet song title / lyrics challenge. |

Do you really mean that, or did Jamacia Mistaka?

Besides real estate, he sings too! Wow this guy is talented...;\
I don't think I've ever heard a JB song. |

No, no, that's Warren, Jimmy's dad.
Thank heavens some of us use our mental floss! |

I'd love this one. There are enough titles that everyone could come up with something. We haven't been to his concerts in a couple years, but they used to be a blast.
btw - The Weather Is Here, Wish You Were Beautiful! |

Are you serious? Really? You've missed-out and been deprived! He's more than an incredible musician; he's a phenomenon. |

Bite your tongue! Ya gotta believe, ignore the round belly and gray hair balding on top; he's still living in his car on the beach in Key West. JB's just like Tinker Bell with a Margareta instead of pixie dust, ageless! |

Would this image fit a challenge of this kind? Just in case...read the sign on the building.. This was taken on vacation in April while in Lahaina Maui, HI.

I took this picture for the 30 days of ordinary objects last year, one of my favorite Buffett Songs.
. If you have never been to a Buffett concert and you like his music you need to the next time he's in your neck of the woods, such fun events. |

I have tickets for an upcoming show this summer. Was very lucky to get them too. Concert sold out in a matter of minutes.

Last time I went to a Jimmy Buffet concert was almost 20 years ago. Walked up and bought lawn seats day of the show. It was at the old Poplar Creek for those in chicago area. |

I have a picture of the sky above a concert where the Hemisphere Dancer flew by......and I missed it.
I love Buffett concerts........you're with family......aunts, uncles, brothers, sisters, neighbors, & friends.
You'll see a grey haired suit in a Lincoln Navigator next to a VW bus with beach bums.....and they're instant old friends because of their mutual enjoyment of Jimmy.
I love his music, his books, his philosophy, and just am glad to be of an age where I've been part & party to him for decades.
My daughter is an official Parakeet.......she went to her first Buffett concert when she was 7.
He's a pretty awesome character!

Jimmy's concerts sell out faster than anyone on the planet.

I know, that's why it has been almost 20 years since I've been to one. :)
That same summer I walked up and bought tickets for Eric Clapton. And I'm sure it was less than $20 for each show - something like $15 - $18. Can't even park for that today. :(

I couldn't agree more - A note about the Buffet philosophy: I ran the Green Bay Marathon a few years ago. The aid stations are set up about every 1&1/2 miles and staffed by volunteers from local groups. The last one at about the 25 mile mark was run by the local Jimmy Buffet fan club - in addition to handing out water and Gatoraid they had margaritas! :0
