Strobist Lighting DVDs are available. And while I'd count myself among the people he describes as saying "I already know how to do that", I'm actually considering ordering the DVD. It seems to be quite a good value at 8 DVDs for $139 (plus I'm a sucker for good information at a good price).

Watched the video clip on the page. Looks like the DVD set would be a good investment. I'm seriously thinking about ordering.

Yeah (I posted under the strobist group thread floating around also)... Mine are in the mail having order first thing this morning :-) I like the way David explains stuff... it just makes sense and I think the price is a bargain in reality.

Well, I placed my order.
I'm going to Brazil tomorrow for a two week trip ... Up until now, I was thinking I would be in *no* hurry to return home (I love Brazil, both the country and the people).
Now, however, I haven't even left yet and I'm already anxious to get back home ... just to watch the DVDs!!! :-)

| Good plan... David apparently pressed only 1000 of these sets and I suspect there will need to be a second burning, so might add to the delay if you wait 2 weeks :-) |

The DVDs came while I was in Brazil, so I've only just begun. I watched the first one last week. The first DVD is all about "what you need to get started". He is very pragmatic. He'll tell you about the expensive options. But in general recommends lower cost (or even do-it-yourself) solutions.
Seven more DVDs to go!

Let me know what you think after watching a few more!
I see their first pressing is sold out and they are doing a second press.
PS: I wish someone knowledgeable could compare these with other instructional lighting DVDs on the market (if any).
