I get next day and second-day deliveries then and the regular stuff later in the day. Just the feature of the service. Your ground deliveries are what come so late.
And normally, you can leave a signature on file with both carriers for them to leave stuff. But anything expensive I get shipped is normally noted as "ADULT SIGNATURE REQUIRED" which means a person literally has to sign for and accept the shipment.
This wasn't a UPS screw up. :) |
You learn something new every day. I should have had it delivered to one of our friends down the street (they both work at home with their kids). I guess it could be worse...they could have delivered a box full of busted glass and plastic! I will make a mental note about the "Next Day = by 10:30" service.
hopper, congrats on the new camera! Today is looking more and more unproductive...

So I had a chance to swing by and pick it up this morning. And I can't stop smiling. I had to force myself to leave the battery bagged up and not put it on the charger, so I might get some work done. I did change out the focusing screen already...I couldn't help myself! This is what I looked like opening the box ... XD ... and I haven't changed much since! I can't believe it took me this long to upgrade.
Stupid work to do, stupid baseball pictures to order tonight...at least there is a 3 day weekend for me to play!

Man, I'd be charging the battery at my desk ... and then getting a bout of IBS to go read the manual in the restroom :)

It was a pretty good read...a lot of stuff I already knew, but it helped to explain a lot of the camera's newer features. I am sure I will have to reference it again here and there. |

But remember, since you read it in the bathroom, it's non-returnable. :)

Real men don't read manuals. Real men spend hours playing with every nob, control and duuuu-hickey until we screw something up so bad that we have to call tech support. Then real men spend the next three days bitching about how stupid the company was for making something that required me to call tech support.
edit to add CONGRATS!!!!!
