I'm wondering what some thoughts are about this price... $1150 for:
Canon 300D + all factory accessories
Heavy Duty Tripod
512 Meg Compact Flash Card
Titanium series (Crystal Optics) Polarizing, UV and FD filter
Extra battery pack
Canon Camera Bag
18-55 mm Lens

| When I bought mine, $950.00 with just the standard lense, I paid 140.00 for two 256 meg level II flash cards. So, if you get an extra battery (60.00 for a Cannon), a tripod (no telling how much it is) and some filters, I would say the extra 200 bucks are well spent. |

| Crystal Optics lenses and filters arent always really multicoated, even though they say they are. Ive heard some not so good stories about them. Otherwise, its a great package. |

For the 300D it is worth buying a fast CF card. Choose carefully. Prolly what is included in the package deal is the lowest common denominator; off-brand and slow.
I would also bet that the tripod is about as cheap as they come.
Ask if the battery is Canon or 3rd party.
The crystal optics filters are worth next to nothing, you're better off buying good filters.
Finally, check out the seller on resellerratings.com. If they don't have a high rating (>7.5 at least) and a reltively large number of reviews, think twice.
All in all, I'm not a big fan of package deals, as they usually benefit the seller more than the buyer. Decide what accessories you want, price them, and then put together your "package".
