Hi, does anyone have that camera? I have a Cybershot S30 which is not the nicest camera around (only 1.3mp) but I love it! Extremely simple to control, has nice controls (not a lot of manual, but can play around with it), the LCD is big and fast (if you've seen the Cybershot P?, their lcd is extremely slow on playback and you don't get a good idea of the picture through it), with great quality, and besides it rotates..:)
I played with some Fuji, and those other Sony P something, and they are so complicated to choose what you want..you gotta press lots of buttons and go through many menus, and it's kinda annoying..
So, has anyone played with the Sony V1? I want to go for it but I haven't found any in the stores around to play it, so I wanna know if it's easy to control (at least not annoying), and if it's a fast and good quality lcd.

I've had its predecessor the S 85, which was the best calibrated digicam for my purposes ever. What I mean by 'calibrated' is that it delivered precisely the kind of feel I was after in program modes: beautiful tonality, crisp without being overly sharp, especially great for landscapes and foggy conditions. I've yet to match some of those shots with the more expensive prosumer models I own and/or have access to now. I imagine the V1 would be capable of producing similar results plus offering nightshot and -frame capabilities.

I've played with it a little (the V1) and recommended it to those who wanted a serious tool, which still allowed them to just point and shoot.

I have a V1 for 3 months now and i really like it. My first digital camera was a dsc-p71. If you want an outstanding digital camera with all the manual control including great zoom, great lenses, but WITHOUT having to carry a big thing she will be great. For the control, I usually says you'll have to get used to it no matter what model you'll buy, take two weeks to get used to the control and you'll find that camera really easy.

I have a Sony DSC-P50 [2.1 MP] and I find it extremely easy to use. It has a very user-friendly menu and interface
