I think that our profile would be improved if we were able to select which photos appear in your recent portfolio additions rather than having only the most recently uploaded files appear.
maybe another "selected image options" icon? it would sure makes things easier.

I agree. I just started a thread last night, put a picture on it, then after it was viewed 45 times without a comment I took it out of my portfolio. Now the picture is missing from the thread and the thread is useless. Sorry to all that went to the thread after I removed the pic. |

I think one solution to this might be to be able to hide a photo but still be able to link to it. Hiding it would keep it out of the "most recent", but still allow it to appear in forum posts. I don't know of another way around this, maybe someonw else can suggest one?

I like the idea of showing the photos we use to represent each collection (folder) within our portfolio. Then when i upload pix for editing or whatever, they don't have to represent my recent work :) |

I tried this with an image I wanted comments on but didn't really want my mom to see. After it was hidden, the link didn't work no more. If however you put it in your workshop folder in your portfolio, it will NOT show up in recent additions, or your portfolio, but you will still be able to link to it in the forums!

Ahh, the workshop. Now why didn't I htik of that? Works great, thanks toocool.
@jackditch
cleanest way is to use the "insert thumbnail link to site image" button. It's the far right button at the top of the message window. You need the image ID, which you can get by right-clicking on the image, and selecting "properties". In the URL, he image ID is the 5-digit file name, you just need the ID number, not the ".jpg" portion.

If you just position your mouse over the image, the image's URL (with ID number at the end) should display in one of the browser's fields; the whole idea of coding the "Insert Thumbnail" button was to be able to bypass having to go to the Properties box. |

Thanks everyone. Also found that you can Preview what you have done before posting by hitting the Preview tab. Again sorry for being so new to this. |

Interestingly, the mouseover does not work when you're in yor own profile or portfolio, unless you go into "browse" for a particular collection. I just use the properties, it's nearly as fast as the mouseover, and works everywhere.
