[thumb]678161[/thumb]I'm guessing no, but if anyone has any way to save this I would be thankfull. I totally messed up when we came indoors from an outdoor shoot and forgot to reset. I finally did, and got some decent images but even those some spots of white are still blown out, like my challenge shot fomr "Every Picture tells a story"
Thanks for any input. |

Photoshop - Brightness and contrast layer alone (Brightness -55 / Contrast +45) Is a good start... Bit of Curves on top...

Not the greatest, but the browser JPG version wasn't good to start with. Just a levels edit here and a mild "burn" over the baby entirely.

You can go with a high key approach but bring the white background down to about a mid grey to show more subject details.

Sorry for the quick reply, but with some dedicated photoshop work I think it can be saved, while I'm not expert and only had about 5 min to do this (studying for finals here at college)I was able to bring the brightness down and increase the contrast very quickly! There is some noise that needs to be cleaned up, in short, yes I think it can! Hope I could help! [thumb]678178[/thumb]

Thanks everyone. This is what I had come up with before I asked for help

I'm just not totally pleased with it. The red in her hair just seems so strong. |

Desaturation layer, reduce the red. If it affects her skin too much as well, add a layer mask in all black and then paint over her hair in white (on the layer mask) to reveal only the red reduction there.

Under hue/saturation take the red channel down to -25. That's what I did in the edit on your OP. |

Cute baby :)
The re-edited versions looks ok, but to finalize any of them I'd select and copy the cake portion from your challenge entry and paste that in to this shot you're working on now.

Just a quick run through Lightroom:

There is some pixelation, but with a more thorough working, could come up pretty good.
