Along, possibly, with many other contributors to this site, I was deeply disappointed with the low scoring in the Sepia challenge. I do appreciate that with nearly 400 entries, voting could be time-consuming and difficult, but do not really see how that correlates with low scoring - it takes just as much time to score high as it does low, surely?

Anyways, I would really appreciate other people's views on my Sepia entry which scored sub-5, but had only 2 comments. Personally, I don't see it as a sub 5 photo, and would love to know why it was marked so low, or if I've just been unlucky.

Cheers and thanks to anyone who takes the time to comment.

Checked it out.

My first thought is that the crop is VERY tight, too tight for me and the image seems overly thin.

Additionally, I'd have liked to see a stronger focus on the eyes - perhaps sharper than that.

Your choice of sepia tones seems quite red.

So I think in this community the rating was fair. Hope this helps somewhat.
