I'm a gigantic Simpsons fan, but their new episodes have lost their way, does anyone watch the new ones still? |

I never watched the Simpsons regularly but have always watched them. lol They're on so many different channels that all I have to do is turn on the tv and switch channels until I hit Homer and his gang. I did find the last few kind of bland. But after 20 years of the Simpsons I'm not surprised.
South Park is on the same road to cancellation I think. What will replace these two classic shows? |

yeah I know what you mean, they're just everywhere. I've seen about a billion reruns, to the point where I can memorize the lines for the characters.
As for South Park, not a huge fan of it, but I know it's lost its originality just as much as the Simpsons. |

I've been a big Simpsons fan since it was just a short on the Tracy Ullman show, and I still think Simpsons + Married with Children was the best lineup EVAR. Unfortunately, moving to Chicago (where all TV shows are on an hour earlier) and a quasi-functional Comcast DVR mean I miss most of the episodes now. I'll grant there have been better seasons in its storied past, but it's still not that bad a show.
ETA: I have enough episodes memorized that I can pick out when a scene is cut for the syndication reruns.

I'm a huge fan. I have all of the DVDs that have come out so far, and my daughter and I watch the movie over and over again. We also made a special point of visiting the Kwik-E-Mart in Seattle last summer!
I agree that some of the episodes lately seem a little random, but I think it's simply hard or even impossible for them to top some of the all-time great shows of their early seasons. |

I'm addicted to the Simpson's. Not as much as my dad, but yeah, it is my virtual crack. The new ones aren't as great as the older ones, but I think that's because there are a lot of groups out there that protest certain kind of humor. |

I remember when they made the 7 11s here Kwik-E-Marts temporarily. I always thought the episodes started to be random and stupid because they had lost a lot of their good writers? |

I am also a huge fan since it started on Tracy Ulmann, I think the show was slipping a little bit a few years back, But they had changed some of the writers over that time and I believe that recently the show has improved again. They are starting to repeat certain situations on the show, although with a few new twists the plot remains unchanged. Overall I am an adict and do not wish to or will I ever stop watching The Simpsons. |

The new episodes are painful. I get stomach cramps trying to struggle through through the over-zany slapstick antics. The old episodes had so much wit and cleverness... the new one's seem like they're thrown together for the sake of a paycheck. D'oh. |

i'm a huge fan of the Simpsons. I'll watch all the episodes if they're on. Even if the episode on the whole kinda stinks there will always be the odd sequence or one liner that makes up for it.
It still comes up with the goods, just less often per show.

The last episode had one really funny line, where it said "slaughter house" but Homer thought it was laughter house cause the S was covered up :P |

reminds me of shirt on T-Shirt Hell that says "you can't spell manslaughter without laughter!"
They also have one that says "i only support gay marriage if both chicks are hot".
I have the last one...
