Roosted at night, using fireworks mode and a small LED flashlight for light. Self timer at 2 sec, and the camera sitting on something to keep it steady.
I later noticed that I could set the shutter speed from 1/2 to 4 sec in that mode, which would be great for light painting at night.

I am going to cheat and post two entries for the final day as I couldn't decide between them!!
 
I've really loved this side challenge and I will be carrying my p&s around more often and taking more of those macro shots :) Thanks  k4ffy for setting this up :) |

I promise, I promise! I will comment on all the rest of the photos...but I doubt I will be able to finish the assignment as my P&S ran out of battery and I can't find the charger! |

I didn't keep up, but I'll post what I have. It was fun to get out and shoot with the P&S. This was a very nice side challenge!

This has been fun. I can't say I'm sorry it's over, because it has been quite time consuming. But I enjoyed the challenge, the photos, the comments, and all the people who participated. Thank you all, and special thanks to k4ffy for setting it up. |

You mean it's over?
Here is one more that I sort of liked from todays plinking around my yard.
I have greatly enjoyed getting a look into everyone's world thru the two weeks of shooting and posting. Thanks to all for the comments, and for the inspiration to be shooting every opportunity, and also for helping me learn more about my P&S and it's abilities and limits.
Big thanks to k4ffy for the idea for the side challenge.

This has been most interesting, and while it was sort of a push, the numbers weren't overwhelming. Very impressed with what people try and manage to achieve - lots of ideas - I did make 2 bobonacusian attempts - really much much harder than I thought, but I feel I have barely scraped the surface. I'll get the rest of mine up here in the next day or two and come back to drop comments throughout the week.
This was fun and challenging-14 days 14 shots is rigorous! But, fun to try different things and have a nice forum with great comments.
I have appreciated all the feedback so far. |
