Here are two outtakes that I was fiddling with before selecting my final submission for the Lighting challenge. Please feel free to critique these images.
The first photo has some movement to it. I thought putting movement in the photo would give it a nightmarish appearance.
In the second, I am much closer to the door with the axe lifted over my head in full swing.
Both these images are straight from the camera except for resizing. I'm very new at using the digital medium, so suggestions and comments are welcomed.
Thanks and have a good one.

Great lighting, I admit when I saw the entry I thought it had been (legally) adjusted.
Of the three I think I prefer the second of the ones you just posted here, but I did also like your challenge entry. The moving one doesn't work for me nearly as well.

As a "lighting" challenge the one you entered was the best.
As a "dreams/nightmare entry. All 3 would've done very well.
That moving one kinda gives you the goosebumps.

I agree with faidoi...the movement shot is creepy as the object of terror, "man with axe", is harder to make out. Has a dream-like quality to it. I would have scored it very high (8-9). |
