rdJ MADE the movie... also
*****SPOILER POSSIBILITY****** (nothing major though) *******
i believe... being a follower of the actual comic that the sequal will come out and his friend will become warmachine...if i correctly recall when iron man leaves to fight he looks at the silver suit after he leaves and says "next time...next time"
*******END SPOILER******************************************
but yea round of applause for RDJ |

From an IM fan for 35 years:
I was disappointed.
IMHO: The plot was pedantic and predictable, the movie itself was carried more by loud, hard guitar riffs than actual A -> B plot structures, and the whole story could have been told in half as much time.
Once again: that's my opinion. RottenTomatoes gives it a 94%, that's huge. I guess I just expected something else.
Bobby did an excellent, excellent job as TS.
Non-spoiler spoiler: stay until the credits have finished rolling. |

I think this may have answered the question that I had, without spoiling. |

Has he lost his mind?
Can he see or is he blind?
Can he walk at all,
Or if he moves will he fall?
Is he alive or dead?
Has he thoughts within his head?
Well just pass him there
Why should we even care?
He was turned to steel
In the great magnetic field
Where he traveled time
For the future of mankind
Nobody wants him
He just stares at the world
Planning his vengeance
That he will soon unfold
Now the time is here
For iron man to spread fear
Vengeance from the grave
Kills the people he once saved
Nobody wants him
They just turn their heads
Nobody helps him
Now he has his revenge
Heavy boots of lead
Fills his victims full of dread
Running as fast as they can
Iron man lives again!

Better yet, go see Where in the World Is Osama Bin Laden?. Great documentary, thought provoking and funny as hell. Great cinematography also, especially some of the time-lapse shots. |

Just got back. Great movie! Previews for Indy IV as well as Dark Knight. Great night at the movies. Except for the woman with three kids who would not keep them quiet. One toddler (like under 2 had no interest in the movie and just wanted to talk as loud as she could!!!!). When the mom finally took her out for the third or fourth time, the other two boys started playing with toys and acting like they were in their living room. Informed the manager and they had to be asked to leave as the lady started throwing a fit that she too had paid to see the movie. Um yeah but not at the disruption to the packed theatre.
And Where in the World in Osama Bin Laden? Come on really. The idiot who made Supersize Me? Michael Moore wannabe hack filmmaker.

Haven't heard of it, thanks for the link. Will check it out. Morgan Spurlock is a great documentary film maker, thanks again. |

Michael Moore is a moron. although his films do bring up great points and show the light on a lot of stuff he lies in his documentary and has been quoted to saying he does so. |

I'd respect him more if he'd just label his films fiction instead of documentary. "Canadian Bacon" was political satire that was full of liberal hoo-ha, but was still a funny, well made film.

I don't see how Canadian bacon can be compared to a Michael Moore film. |

We just got back from this and we liked it. Lots of action. Acting was ok, for an action hero flick. Hated Gwyneth Paltrow as I always do in every film she has made and this one just made that clearer than ever. |
