Hi everybody,

Just wondering if anyone from Corsica (France) around here. I'm gonna travel there from 24th of Jully until 7th of August (youpieee!) to make a tour of the island so any tips for touristic and non-touristic things to do/see are welcome. Also, any tips for a place where to sleep (cheep place to stay)will be great, since we only have the plane tickets and the car for the whole period (sleeping in a tent is not an option). We would like to be able to get in touch with the local people, so renting a room in smbd house will be great.

Thanks in advance,
Bianca

Lucky you, I've been there once and it was about 15 years ago, so I probably won't be much help. Anyway, when I went, the thing I remember the most was the beaches west of Bonifacio. The landscape was absolutely stunning and the area was largely undeveloped. Encounters with other people were few and far between. As a bonus, on a clear day, there is a great view of Sardenia.

As far as places to stay, we had a camper and basically set up shop near the coast and relaxed for a week. (As I said, not much help, but I assure you that you'll love it.)

Lol! No problem! Probably those undeveloped areas 15 years ago are now full of constructions (hopefully not all), but I'm sure I'm gonna enjoy my trip.
