I would like to send my pics to a professional printer - however I am a bit stuck.......
Can anyone tell me what the pixel dimensions should for A4 (or do I just send the massive file and let them worry) and what is the best dpi - I want glossy magazine cheers.

Well, you should probably ask the print lab what dpi is best for their printer. Also, ask them what colour space the image should be in as well.
Once you know the dpi, then you can determine the pixel dimensions.

its more or less 8x12.
You'd want 3600x2400 in RGB colour space.

A4 = 210 x 297 mm
At 200 dpi, this would be 1654 x 2339
At 300 dpi, this would be 2480 x 3508
At 600 dpi, this would be 4961 x 7016
That's assuming no border, but not allowing any bleed either. |

Ask the pro printer you intend to send the image(s) to. |
