I saw that one *drool* but don't really shoot anything to need it.... just want to have it LOL

congrats, it's a great lens for sure. i too am struggling whether or not to drop the money on the nikkor 50 1.4...

Ah...USM...It's worth the extra $230ish for USM.

Enjoy. When my 17-40 comes off my camera, it's usually my 50mm that replaces it (non-USM).

Grats girl!!

My 70-300 IS has been in the shop for a month and my longes lens at that point was my 50mm 1.9 and OMG I have a new appreciation for this lens being forced to use it more than I would have normally. Ive been considering on selling it and going to the 1.4 and I just mite to get that extra stop and USN of course :)

Grats in any event, cant wait to see what you do with it :)

That is a great choice for a lens. All I ever use now is my 50mm 1.8 prime. If it's far away, I just use sneaker zoom; works every time.
